Chernobyl Nuclear Facility Filmed by Drone

Danny Cooke filmed this haunting video of Chernobyl nuclear facility and the ghost town of Pripyat. Pripyat had 50 000 citizens; now it has zero. It is a scary place and thanks to today’s drone technology we can really see how this place looks from the air.

Pripyat was only a few kilometers away from the nuclear facility which exploded in 1986. It is over 30 years since this disaster, and yet this place reminds dangerous for humans and animals.

Today you can stay several weeks in the area without some serious health problems because isotopes which were released during the explosion has decayed. But still, you need Geiger counter to see the radiation level. Danny Cook stayed at the place for a few weeks, and he made some beautiful pictures and videos. He used DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter, GoPro3+ and Canon 7D camera. Some parts of the video look unrealistic, but this may have something to do with radiation.
